Chile con Carne Spaghetti

Chile con Carne

2 pounds ground beef
2 teaspoons garlic salt
4 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon pepper
1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 cups cooked or canned red kidney beans, drained
Water, as needed.
For serving, 1 pound spaghetti, cooked
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup sour cream, if desired

Brown ground beef in a deep saucepan, breaking up the meat with a spoon. - Stir in the garlic salt, chili powder, ground cumin and pepper. - Add tomato sauce - if the mixture seems too thick, add a bit of water. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes. - Add kidney beans to mixture and simmer another 5 minutes, uncovered.
